1. Scene 13 is a near-verbatim duplicate of the accepted, canonical chapters/003-the-improbability-engine.md, not new prose.

Since chapter 3 is live canon, not a deleted seed draft, this is not new material checked against canon — it is the canon, lightly re-typed. If the intent (per the task's framing, "the groundwork this restages") is a deliberate rewrite pass, the restaging has not actually done any restaging: none of the voice-binding rules ratified after ch. 003's 2026-08-24 backfill (round 2–4 findings dated 2026-08-27, e.g. Peri's rule 6d) have been applied.
