1. "Item: the ten o'clock, which had run late once in eleven years and then run to ten past the next day, on its own."
Part 1 — check every fact inside the scene / check the dependents of every edit. Contradicted on the page: in scene 08 Sorrel says "Between you you've made it run to ten past" — the overrun was caused by Edwin and Peri, in front of him. "On its own" is exactly the thing that did not happen, and it is the clause carrying the item's whole weight in the audit.
Replacement: "Item: the ten o'clock, which had run late once in eleven years and then run ten minutes over the next day." (Drop "on its own"; the item still belongs to the list as one of his own frictions without a false claim attached.)

Part 1 — check every inference; X-so-Y where Y does not follow. Of the five items only the roof moves him off his desk. A slater with a queue, a gate latch of three months' standing, a class running ten minutes over and a taproom rumour do not lean away from a desk in any direction; the verdict is asserted over a list that does not support it. (The old chapter's "They leaned east, at the door" had the parcel under it; with the parcel out, the conclusion has nothing to stand on.)
Fix at the level of the list, not the sentence: either the items have to be things that each pull him out of the tower, or the verdict has to be what the list actually shows — that the week would not sit still. Minimum change: "…were all leaning the same way. Not east, or north, or anywhere. Away from the desk they had all been keeping him from." is still a cheat; the honest short form is to cut "Not east, or north, or anywhere. Away from his desk." and let "the small things were all leaning the same way" stand as the thing he cannot take to a magistrate.
4. "because an audit was what he did with a week that would not lie flat"
Part 1 — check every count: it has been four days (Day 1 = arrival; this is Day 4), and the same paragraph's next-but-one sentence says "four days". "A week" is loose in a scene whose whole method is exact counting, and in a man whose method it is. Also Part 2 — "would not lie flat" is a figure whose second term the reader cannot hold (lie flat like what — a map, a board, a ledger page?).
Replacement: "because an audit was what he did with four days he could not make sit still" — or plainer, "because an audit was what he did with a week he could not account for". Pick one and drop the figure.

Part 5 — redundancy: a fact already delivered is not delivered again in a different mouth. Scene 10 already ran this exchange to its end: Edwin sent word down, word came back end-of-the-month, "None taken. It was a fair ordering." Sending the same message a second time by a third party gives the chairman a line to carry that has already been carried, and slightly undercuts scene 10's acceptance.
Replacement: cut the clause; "Your nineteenth is dry." is the stronger single-beat answer to a question about dragons, and the audit picks the slater up two paragraphs later anyway.
The device a second round would be about is the audit itself. With the parcel correctly excluded, it has lost the one item that was genuinely improbable, and what remains is five ordinary vale frictions that do not point anywhere — so the paragraph's closing verdict ("leaning the same way … away from his desk") is doing work the evidence no longer does, which is the shape he calls lazy.
To make it work, the items have to be re-chosen so that the reading is honest at Edwin's own resolution — a list of things that have each cost him a piece of the week's work, ending on a verdict about the week rather than about a direction; to remove it, cut the audit to two items and let "No," to the empty road answer the rumour at the ford instead of a pattern.
