This confirms geography: the vale (Edwin's hill) is west of the Ashway bridge; the Wystow trial fields lie broadly east of it. That, plus the box's established route (Wystow → forwarded by redacted → Edwin), settles the direction question. I have enough to write the report.

This has the box arriving from the coast (west) and travelling east toward the bridge, where it was accidentally waylaid onto Edwin's hill instead of continuing on to Wystow. But notes/canon/characters/redacted.md(lines 22–28) andnotes/canon/world/timeline.md (lines 102–104, 682–684) establish the opposite journey: the box came in from the parish of redacted, was received at Wystow's extension office on 9 Cornmonth, and was then *deliberately forwarded by redacted redacted sentence: unpublished prose redacted.mdl.22–28,timeline.md l.682–684). That is a Wystow→Edwin leg, i.e. east to west across the Ashway bridge. redacted sentence: unpublished prose The scene's mundane-error framing (coast→east, mis-sorted at the bridge) is a different, incompatible incident from the one canon has since established (Wystow→Edwin, forwarded on purpose by a named clerk for a stated reason). This restages ch. 002 verbatim without updating for the redacted backfill that postdates it (redacted.md promoted 2026-08-25, ch. 025/031 material).

2. The "forward via" annotation is unattributed, which is technically consistent but leaves canon's correction invisible.
Scene line 13: "where a second clerk had evidently intervened: forward via Goodman Moss..." — this matches ch. 002's phrasing exactly and does not name redacted redacted sentence: unpublished prose redacted's, not redacted's"). Not wrong, but also not corrected — the scene had the opportunity to make this redacted's line on the page (he is now a named, developed character) and didn't take it.

This does directly answer the ch. redacted sentence: unpublished prose However, canon's actual outcome (timeline.md l.684–686) has the box sitting on the dresser for 92 days and then being opened, not sent on to the college as Edwin plans here — not an error (plans changing over three months is fine), but worth flagging since this scene commits Edwin to an intention that the timeline shows he doesn't act on, and nothing in the scene hints at why.
