It should either be cut or be grounded as an ordinary bodily reaction (dread, tension) with zero implied magical apparatus.
3. Peri's "saving it" phrasing.
"I used my question," she said... "I'd been saving it." — notes/canon/system.md (~line 647) explicitly rules on this exact line's ancestor from ch. redacted sentence: unpublished prose Scene 15's phrasing is technically compatible with that reading (it doesn't claim she held two questions), but it's the identical phrase already flagged as risky in the ruling discussion, restaged with zero of the disambiguating context added.
