I found no separate line stating "nobody clever comments" verbatim, but it follows directly from the file's governing rule under Break mechanics/Open questions: canon stays agnostic about the Deep's nature, no character theorizes about mechanism, and (dungeons.md "Open questions") no evidence/connections may be added beyond the sealed clue rules — i.e., no character is to offer a clever causal theory about why a redacted refuses water. Treat "no clever comment" as an inference from the sealed-material discipline, not a separately quoted rule.

4. The improbability engine never acts "at a mouth"

Sealed-file cross-references (content not quoted, per project rule — never state sealed content) confirm this rule is load-bearing: notes/sealed/destiny.md L1189 "Nothing at a mouth is ever the engine's, and no findable cause"; notes/sealed/deeps.md and COHERENCE.md repeatedly state "no soil finding is ever made at a mouth" and "redacted's competence at a mouth is her trade's, never her [people's/anything else's]." Do not attribute anything at Holm Deep's mouth, or any coincidence in scenes 63-68 at the mouth, to the improbability engine or to any hidden cause — it must read as pure competence/luck-of-the-work.

Healing is a church mystery (temple orders, oathbound); nothing below rung 3 (bone-setters/midwives/barber-surgeons — themselves oathbound with only a sliver of the mystery) exists in the countryside. Parish priests (Ferrin) have no healing at all — only blessings that "cost nothing, do nothing" mechanically.
