You are doing a canon consistency check for a novel-writing project at redacted (an AI-generated LitRPG being drafted for Royal Road). Do NOT write any prose or fix anything — this is a read-only audit. Do NOT read anything under notes/sealed/.

TASK: Check seven newly drafted scenes for contradictions against established/working canon and against earlier draft scenes.

Scenes under review (read all seven in full):
draft/book-01/scenes/56-the-wire-and-the-whips.md unpublished
draft/book-01/scenes/57-the-far-bay-boarded.md unpublished
redacted sentence: unpublished prose unpublished
draft/book-01/scenes/59-the-slate-at-the-chain.md unpublished
draft/book-01/scenes/60-its-alive-all-of-it.md unpublished
draft/book-01/scenes/61-stranger-further-more.md unpublished
redacted sentence: unpublished prose unpublished

Read first, for context on claim levels:
notes/canon/README.md

Then read these canon files in full:
notes/canon/system.md
notes/canon/world/timeline.md
notes/canon/world/silent-soil.md
notes/canon/world/dungeons.md
notes/canon/characters/redacted.md
notes/canon/characters/mattie-ordish.md
notes/canon/characters/minor.md
notes/canon/characters/peri.md
notes/canon/characters/edwin.md
notes/canon/deferred-questions.md unpublished
notes/canon/deferred-beats.md

Then read draft/book-01/SCENES.md, especially the act-two binding list at its foot. Pay special attention to rules on the "Deep" thread: the slate; the candle; air direction always stated; nobody explains anything about the hole; the Weave never touches the Deep's evidence; and Edwin's biography (shed at nineteen, second year of something).

Then, for continuity context only (not under review, but must be checked against), read scenes 25 through 55 in draft/book-01/scenes/ (all of them, in order — this is essential, don't skip any). Pay particular attention to: the hay cut date, the harvest talk sheet, Tess's count, the "twig" line, the leakage counts given in scene 46 unpublished, the roster given in scene 45 unpublished, the number of days Edwin has been in the parish, and the Seal's cooldown arithmetic (bound on Day 1 with a 28-day cooldown).

redacted sentence: unpublished prose Use this to check every date/day-number reference in scenes 56-62 for arithmetic consistency with itself and with earlier scenes.

DELIVERABLE — report back in this exact numbered structure, terse, no praise, no fixes-you-made (you are not to edit any files):

(1) Hard contradictions with Established or Working canon, or with earlier third-draft scenes (25-55). For each: quote both conflicting lines (with scene/file citation), state the contradiction, and suggest a one-line fix (but do not apply it).

(2) Any deferred question (from deferred-questions.md) that scenes 56-62 resolve casually, or any rule in the SCENES.md act-two binding list (the Deep thread rules, Edwin's bio) that the scenes break.

(3) Day/date/calendar errors — arithmetic that doesn't match the Day 1=15 Cornmonth scheme above, or is inconsistent with dates given in scenes 25-55.

(4) Sums, distances, counts, quantities that don't add up (either internally within 56-62, or against numbers established in 25-55 or canon).

(5) New facts scenes 56-62 establish that canon does not yet record (candidates for a future consistency-backfill pass) — just list them, don't backfill.

Be thorough and exact — quote lines verbatim where making a claim of contradiction. If you find nothing in a category, say "none found." Keep your final report focused and skip long preamble.

Consistency Check: Scenes 56–62 (Book 1, Act Two)

(1) Hard contradictions with Established/Working canon or scenes 25–55

The Seal of the Loom cooldown — scene 56 unpublished.
Scene 56 unpublished: "'Six,' she said. 'Agent of Fate. Six.'... 'The Seal's a day shorter. Twenty-seven.'" This is Day 24 (third afternoon of the four-day containment that starts Day 22).

redacted sentence: unpublished prose redacted sentence: unpublished prose 029), computed from Day 30, after she has reached class level 26 — proof the cooldown never moved with leveling. Scene 56 unpublished's implication that hitting level 6 on Day 24 knocked the remaining count down to 27 (which would return it around Day 51, not Day 30) breaks this. It also sets up a direct in-book contradiction if a later scene in this same stretch (per SCENES.md, scene 66 unpublished, Day 29–30) still uses the established "Thirty days at midnight" line, or if timeline.md's Day 30 return stands unmoved.

Suggested fix: cut the "Twenty-seven" line, or reframe the level-6 box as changing only the base cooldown for a future cast, explicitly not the running one, and say so on the page.

Weave answer on the Ordish field dated a day early — scene 56 unpublished.
Scene 56 unpublished redacted sentence: unpublished prose 013 text (silent-soil.md: "The Weave on the field (ch. 013, 8 Harvestmonth, noon...)"). Scene 56 unpublished places it on "the fourth day" of a containment period that began Day 22 (6 Harvestmonth) — i.e., Day 25 (9 Harvestmonth), not 8 Harvestmonth. This is a one-day date mismatch against the Established date for this exact exchange.

Suggested fix: move the Weave beat to the third day (Day 24 = 8 Harvestmonth) to match the pinned date, or explicitly re-date the established citation if the rewrite intends to move it.

"He had been in the parish three weeks" — scene 57 unpublished.
Scene 57 unpublished is dated Day 24 (8 Harvestmonth; SCENES.md confirms). Edwin arrived in Fenholt Day 9 (23 Cornmonth). 24 − 9 = 15 days (≈ 2 weeks), not three. This directly conflicts with the on-page, Established anchor two days later: timeline.md, Day 26 (10 Harvestmonth) — "Seventeen days in the village" (ch. 014). Fifteen days at Day 24 and seventeen at Day 26 agree with each other; "three weeks" at Day 24 does not.

Suggested fix: change "three weeks" to "a fortnight" or "sixteen days."

(2) Deferred questions resolved casually / SCENES.md act-two binding violated

The [Holm Deep.] chain box is never shown — scene 59 unpublished. SCENES.md's own binding list for this stretch requires: "[Holm Deep.] at the chain" and scene 59 unpublished's row explicitly plans "[Holm Deep.] said as routine" as part of its engine. redacted sentence: unpublished prose redacted sentence: unpublished prose In the actual draft, redacted redacted sentence: unpublished prose This is a binding item the scene was supposed to deliver and doesn't.

Weave touching a site's evidence — scene 56 unpublished redacted sentence: unpublished prose unpublished redacted sentence: unpublished prose Site A, the silent-soil field — which is exactly what this rule forbids. (This may be an intentional reuse of the already-Established ch. 013 exchange rather than a new violation, but as drafted it sits in direct tension with the rule stated two paragraphs above it in the same document.)

No sealed/deferred-questions.md entries appear to be resolved casually in these seven scenes; the Deep-origin evidence (dressed stone, drain, redacted) is confined to scenes outside this range, and scenes 56–62 keep to the permitted evidence types (slate, candle, air, causeway sign, redacted) without explaining any of it — that binding item is honored.
