You are a canon-consistency lens for a novel draft. Facts only — do not comment on style, voice, or prose quality, and never propose cutting a reason, an explanation, an answer or a qualification.

Read, in full (rulings accumulate dated at the bottom of files, so read whole files):

Read ONLY the files listed above. Do not open, search, glob or grep any other directory or file in the repository; in particular do not look for earlier drafts or chapters of this book, and do not use grep or find at all.

Scene 24 is dawn of Day 7 (21 Cornmonth), the tower yard: the departure east. Check every fact, count, time, object, distance, name and knowledge state: Peri's kit and its six-day changes; the rider and the two letters (written in scene 21, left under the candlestick; the rider told of two letters in scene 22); Mrs Hobbet (her age band, the shoulder, what she could know about Peri's food); the Corry winch vs the Hobbet gate hinge (scene 13); Dob and his wall (minor.md — where the wall is, what it records); Sorrel's handover being complete (21) and the germination racks/trays; the road east's geography (orchards ~3 miles then barley to the bridge, bridge ~8 miles, bridge reached midmorning per timeline Day 7); whether anyone states a lifespan guarantee, a realm/god name, "six counties", a weekday, or Edwin's class name; whether the improbability engine is narrated as acting on the post or on who answers (it must not be). Canon files sometimes quote lines from an earlier draft; those quotations are facts about what happened, not text to reuse.

Report as a list of findings only: for each, the quoted line from scene 24, the fact it conflicts with (file and quote), and a minimal replacement that preserves the sentence's reason. If a fact is merely uncited but not contradicted, say "uncontradicted, uncited" and move on. No praise, no summary of what passed. Your final message is the report.

Findings — Scene 24 vs. canon and neighboring scenes:

  1. "Everything that could be handed over had been handed over the night before last and gone through twice since" (scene 24, of Sorrel). This conflicts with the established timeline: redacted (scene 21, "redacted") took place on the evening of Day 6 (20 Cornmonth), continuing through the packing scenes (22 "at ten," 23 "at eleven," Sorrel: "First light's in six hours" — timeline.md, Day 6 entry: "redacted lists... packing, the good staff"). Scene 24 is dawn of Day 7, six hours later, the same continuous night-into-morning. Relative to that dawn, redacted was last night, not "the night before last." "Gone through twice since" compounds the error by implying a longer interval than the few hours available.
Minimal replacement: "Everything that could be handed over had been handed over the night before, at the kitchen table, and there was nothing left in her hands to give him."

  2. Uncontradicted, uncited: "forty small trays of germination samples." No established count for the germination racks/trays elsewhere in canon.

  3. Uncontradicted, uncited: Mrs Hobbet's exact remark about the rider ("wanted me to tell you the landlady fed the horse better than she fed him") — this echoes the rider's own established line from chs. redacted sentence: unpublished prose

  4. Everything else checked out clean against canon:

    • Peri's kit changes (boots broken in, pack low and tight, plain cloak-pin, same sword) match peri.md's established Day-7 state exactly.
    • The two letters (written scene 21, "under the candlestick") and the rider being told of two letters (scene 22) are consistent with Edwin now saying "They're in my coat" — he could have retrieved them before coming down; no contradiction.
    • Mrs Hobbet's age/shoulder, the two wrapped breakfasts, the P-in-thread marking, no onion, and "You'll look after her" all match minor.md verbatim.
    • Dob on the gatepost, the wall recording only finished events, and "Which way at the bridge?" as his farewell match minor.md verbatim.
    • Sorrel's goodbye via the germination racks matches sorrel.md's established beat exactly.
    • "Three miles of orchard, then barley all the way to the bridge" and "barley done before noon" match geography.md and timeline.md (bridge reached midmorning, crossed at noon) exactly.
    • No lifespan guarantee, realm/god name, "six counties," weekday, or Edwin's class name appears.
    • The improbability engine is not invoked in this scene at all — no violation of the post/who-answers rule.
    • Peri's mending of "her gate hinge" and "the Corrys' winch" both match established facts (scene 13's stated intent re: Mrs Hobbet's hinge; ch. 003's Corry winch repair).
