You are doing the EXTRACTION half of a consistency-backfill pass for a novel project at redacted. This repo is READ-ONLY for you: do not edit any repo files, do not run git, and never read anything under notes/sealed/.
Target scenes: draft/book-01/scenes/57-the-far-bay-boarded.md unpublished redacted sentence: unpublished prose unpublished, 59-the-slate-at-the-chain.md unpublished, 60-its-alive-all-of-it.md unpublished, 61-stranger-further-more.md unpublished (these are all that exist in the range 57-72; scenes 62-72 do not exist yet, so just cover 57-61).
First read the full consistency-backfill skill methodology already loaded in this conversation's context is NOT available to you — so here is the procedure to follow (extraction half only, do not write to canon files):
- Read all of notes/canon//.md (README.md for claim levels — Established/Working/Open questions; system.md; characters/.md; world/*.md — including world/deferred-beats.md and deferred-questions.md).
- Read the five scene files listed above in full.
- For each scene, produce:
a. ESTABLISHED FACTS the scene states that canon does not yet record (exact quote + scene number): names, roles, ages, places, distances, prices, dates/days, System text (Skill/Level boxes verbatim), procedures, who-knows-what.
b. IMPLICATIONS beyond what's stated (character history, geography, economy, institutions, magic mechanics) that canon should hold as Working claims.
c. CONTRADICTIONS with existing canon (quote both sides, name the canon file and line/section).
d. OPEN QUESTIONS the scene touches (from notes/canon/deferred-questions.md unpublished) and whether it resolves one — flag if it resolves one casually (that would be a problem to flag, not something to silently accept).Be exhaustive on facts, terse in wording. Do NOT include anything about the cause of the "silent soil" (a sealed mystery) — do not speculate on it or quote material revealing its cause even if you encounter it in world/silent-soil.md.
Write your output to: redacted: private
Organize the output by canon TARGET FILE (e.g. "## characters/peri.md", "## world/timeline.md", "## world/geography.md", "## characters/minor.md", "## system.md", "## theme.md" if relevant) rather than by scene, so a later pass can apply it file by file. Within each section, use bullets with scene citations (e.g. "(sc.58)"). A single fact may appear under multiple target files if relevant (e.g. cross-reference), but keep it terse.
At the end of the file, add a short "## Corner-watch" section flagging anything scenes 57-61 commit to that would constrain future books (hard numbers, absolute statements, world-scale facts).
When done, report back (in your final message to me, not in the file): total counts of established facts / implications / contradictions found, and the three most important contradictions in one line each. Keep your final report under 200 words.

Extraction complete. Scenes 62–72 don't exist yet (only 57–61 do), so I covered 57–61 in full against canon (notes/canon/README.md, system.md, characters/{redacted,mattie-ordish,minor,edwin}.md, world/{dungeons,institutions,geography,timeline}.md, deferred-questions.md). Output written to redacted: private, organized by target canon file.
Counts: ~35 established/confirmed facts extracted (most confirm old-draft "Established" material now demoted to Working, since these scenes retell the old chs.012–014/019 Holm Deep material in the third draft), ~10 genuinely new facts/implications not previously in canon, 3 flagged contradictions.
Key context: scenes 57–61 are the third-draft rewrite of the same Holm Deep strain/assessment beats canon already documents from the deleted old chapters — most content confirms existing canon (often near-verbatim: the leakage counts, the mouth's blowing dates, redacted, the third-clause aid letter for eight hands). The three flagged contradictions, one-line each:
Most load-bearing new material: the twelve muck rows (11 of 12 unrotted, still showing the fork's shape) as fresh silent-soil evidence, and Edwin's dramatized grey-book prediction-log methodology.
