Findings — facts-only consistency check, scenes 77–78

1. Edwin's exit box format/content is plausible; no canon figure is fixed for it, so nothing is violated.
Quoted: *[Holm Deep. 21 Harvestmonth. Kills: 1. Value: 3.]* (78:9). redacted sentence: unpublished prose Canon never pins a specific kills/value figure for him, so "1"/"3" is free invention, not a contradiction.

2. Peri's two-box order (delve box, then class box) is consistent with the established format; redacted box's "Kills: nine" is new, unpinned, but risks a reader-confusion coincidence.
   System.md's only on-page precedent for a Peri class box ([Agent of Fate — Level 26.], ch. 028) is a standalone box, matching the draft's second, separate Agent of Fate. Eight. box (78:27–31) rather than a merged single box — fine. redacted box's kill figure ("It says nine," 78:27) is not canon-fixed, so it isn't wrong, but it duplicates the number nine already used for her pre-delve tally ("nine redacted and redacted on 14 Harvestmonth," peri.md) — a coincidence worth the author's eye, not a canon violation. Note also plans/book-01/clue-ledger.md unpublished row 78 predicted [Agent of Fate — Level 8.] (matches) but a kill count of eleven, not nine — the plan and the draft disagree; flagging since the ledger was in scope, though a plan note isn't binding.

3. Edwin's writing hand vs. casting hand: no contradiction.
redacted sentence: unpublished prose 020/027) and the broken arm as the left. Nothing in canon fixes which hand he casts with. The draft has him cast right-handed and take the blow on the left arm (77:15) — internally coherent (he can't have cast after the arm broke) and not contradicted by any established fact.

4. The cart: consistent, adds unestablished but non-contradictory detail.

5. "Say a number" answers: no canon figures to check against; fine.
Edwin's "Eleven," then "Three hundred and fifty" (77:21) and redacted's earlier "Forty" (scene 75 unpublished, for continuity) are free invention; canon only establishes the practice ("Say a number"), never specific answers.

6. Slope time (1h40) vs. the clock (14:10 injury, 16:50 out): arithmetically consistent, not contradictory.
Canon's clock gives 2h40 total between the injury and exit. The draft's continued fight/air-check to "ten to three" (14:50, 77:33) plus redacted's splinting (77:35–39) plausibly consumes ~20 minutes before departure ~15:10, and 15:10 + 1:40 = 16:50 exactly. This checks out cleanly.

7. "I'll have them by ten" vs. the bone-setter at 22:30: not an error — an optimistic guess that's simply wrong by half an hour.
This is dialogue, not narration asserting fact, so it doesn't contradict canon's established 22:30 bone-setter time; it's Peri hoping, not the text claiming 22:00 is when it happens.

8. Three over sixty on the cart: no contradiction, but unconfirmed reuse.
minor.md's "three over sixty" is established for redacted-night clearing (chs. 015–018), not explicitly for redacted-day cart. The draft's reuse of this group for the Day-37 cart is plausible (they're non-roster Charter hands) but not independently confirmed by any citation for this specific day.

9. "Four weeks in the parish": correct, checks out exactly.
Peri arrived Fenholt Day 9 (23 Cornmonth); Day 37 (21 Harvestmonth) − Day 9 = 28 days = exactly four weeks. "I've been in the parish four weeks" (78:35) is precisely right.

10. Skill-unlock trigger context differs from canon's citation — worth a look.

The draft (77:27–31) has the box arrive essentially instantly, while Peri is still standing over Edwin with the sword drawn, well before any stone-shifting/floor-clearing (which only happens later, "redacted counted the floor," 77:33). redacted sentence: unpublished prose Minor fix: either move the box's arrival to the floor-clearing beat, or note in canon that the citation should read "moments after" rather than "while shifting stone." 11. Continuity check, scenes 73–76 (background read) — one real discrepancy found.
redacted's four (redacted, redacted, redacted), the chalk numbering (redacted's ringed "9" for the new ninth opening), and the water mark (dry, chalked at the low side in scene 75 unpublished) all match canon exactly, including the sealed-guard requirement that the second chamber's refill is "not from the drain" and comes down "two of the six ways" — scene 77 unpublished nails this precisely ("the second and the fourth by redacted's chalk").

However: dungeons.md states redacted redacted sentence: unpublished prose Scene 76 unpublished redacted sentence: unpublished prose No fight is depicted anywhere between the second chamber and the bottom in the draft as currently written. This is a real tension with the established "eleven" sub-total, though it's outside 77/78 proper and could be resolved by an off-page kill in the passage, or by revising the "eleven at the bottom" citation. Flagging since it bears on the aggregate 406 total both scenes rely on (the 406 total itself is unaffected and correct in 78).

Guards checked and holding: refill not from the drain (nobody explains) ✓; water mark dry ✓; air direction stated with time, throughout ✓; lamps yellow the whole way up, uncommented ✓; nobody explains the crisis mechanism ✓. notes/sealed/deeps.md was read for shape only — its guard table (row 20 especially) directly corroborates the draft's handling of the refill; no sealed content is reported here beyond confirming the draft is consistent with the sealed answer's shape.
