Repo: redacted (a novel). Do not run git. NEVER read, Write, or Edit anything under notes/sealed/. Do not edit scene files or author's notes; canon files only (notes/canon/), plus plans/NEXT.md unpublished at the end.

Context: Book 1 scenes 41–118 are accepted for publication (DRMacIver, 2026-09-02: he is no longer the gate; publication is the acceptance event). Canon must now match the page. Read .claude/skills/consistency-backfill/SKILL.md (the reconcile/record half), notes/canon/README.md (claim levels), then ALL of notes/canon//*.md.

Rules:

  1. The page wins over canon. Where a scene states a fact and canon says otherwise, canon changes, cited as Established (draft/book-01/scenes/NN-slug.md) with "(page wins, 2026-09-02)". Old citations to deleted drafts ("ch. 0NN") that the new scenes re-establish get re-cited to the scene; old Established claims that no scene now supports demote to Working per README.
  2. Where TWO SCENES contradict each other, do not choose: list it in your report under "page-vs-page" with both quotes and scene numbers. (Already fixed today, so ignore if you see them: Ranner's Sluice is fourteen miles from Fenholt on every page; pale-field outer arc per scene 52 unpublished; Level 10 at the seventieth entry, 11 at redacted redacted sentence: unpublished prose
  3. redacted sentence: unpublished prose unpublished (and Level 11 at redacted per 117); notes/canon/characters/redacted redacted sentence: unpublished prose 021) is not on any page now → demote or remove; notes/canon/world/dungeons.md "no kills" on Edwin's exit box vs scene 78 unpublished's "Kills: 1"; silent-soil.md "thirty yards" → forty if the pages say forty; Ranner's Sluice distance twelve → fourteen; deferred-beats.md: "Edwin learns to be fast" is paid on the page in scene 81 unpublished, move to established with citation.
  4. Add every genuinely new fact and Working implication from the inputs to the right canon file, tersely, cited. Prefer growing existing sections; split a file only if it is clearly outgrowing one topic. Minor characters new to the page go in characters/minor.md (or their own file if they have three or more scenes). Peri's level ladder (6, 7, 8, 9 across Harvestmonth; 10 at the seventieth entry; 11 at redacted) goes in peri.md and system.md.
  5. Deferred questions touched: update notes/canon/deferred-questions.md unpublished entries only to note which scene touched them and whether the page resolved them; never resolve one yourself; never write anything about the cause of redacted beyond what the page literally says.
  6. Add to notes/canon/characters/redacted.md a short section "How redacted redacted sentence: unpublished prose
  7. At the end, edit plans/NEXT.md: unpublished replace the "consistency-backfill of every New facts list ... redacted sentence: unpublished prose

Report back (shape only, no sealed content): files edited with a one-line summary each; the page-vs-page conflicts list with quotes; anything in the inputs you could not place or chose not to apply and why.
