You are doing the EXTRACTION half of a consistency-backfill pass for a novel project at redacted. This repo is READ-ONLY for you: do not edit any repo files, do not run git, and never read anything under notes/sealed/.

redacted sentence: unpublished prose unpublished redacted sentence: unpublished prose unpublished, 64-lamps-on-the-ground.md unpublished, 65-the-sluice-keepers-door.md unpublished, 66-the-fen-margin.md unpublished redacted sentence: unpublished prose unpublished, 68-it-buys-you-the-night.md unpublished, 69-under-barrows-barn.md unpublished redacted sentence: unpublished prose unpublished, 71-in-the-hill.md unpublished, 72-not-in-the-line.md unpublished

A previous pass already covered scenes 57-61 and wrote output to redacted: private — you must APPEND your findings for 62-72 to the END of that same existing file, keeping its existing content intact, and organizing your appended content under the SAME per-canon-file heading style it already uses (e.g. "## characters/peri.md", "## world/timeline.md") so headings can be merged later. Read that file first (it's long — you may just skim the last 60 lines to see the heading/section style, you don't need the whole thing) to see the heading style used, then append (do not overwrite) using a tool that appends/edits rather than rewriting the whole file.

Procedure (extraction half only, do not write to actual canon files — only to the scratchpad output file):

  1. Read all of notes/canon//.md (README.md for claim levels — Established/Working/Open questions; system.md; characters/.md; world/*.md — including deferred-beats.md and deferred-questions.md). These files are large; read them fully but efficiently (you have a large context budget).
  2. Read the eleven scene files listed above in full.
  3. For each scene, produce:
    a. ESTABLISHED FACTS the scene states that canon does not yet record (exact quote + scene number): names, roles, ages, places, distances, prices, dates/days, System text (Skill/Level boxes verbatim), procedures, who-knows-what.
    b. IMPLICATIONS beyond what's stated (character history, geography, economy, institutions, magic mechanics) that canon should hold as Working claims.
    c. CONTRADICTIONS with existing canon (quote both sides, name the canon file and line/section).
    d. OPEN QUESTIONS the scene touches (from notes/canon/deferred-questions.md unpublished) and whether it resolves one — flag if it resolves one casually.

Be exhaustive on facts, terse in wording. Do NOT include anything about the cause of the "silent soil" (a sealed mystery, notes/canon/world/silent-soil.md may reference it) — do not speculate on it or quote material revealing its cause even if you encounter it there.

Append your output, organized by canon TARGET FILE, to the existing file at redacted: private Add a clear section divider at the top of your appended content, e.g. "\n\n# Scenes 62-72\n\n", then your per-canon-file sections. Within each, bullets with scene citations (e.g. "(sc.64)").

At the end of your appended content, add a "## Corner-watch (62-72)" section flagging anything these scenes commit to that would constrain future books.

When done, report back in your final message: total counts of established facts / implications / contradictions found for scenes 62-72, and the three most important contradictions in one line each. Keep your final report under 200 words.

This is a match, verbatim almost — confirms scene 66 unpublished's long-thing description exactly. Good, no contradiction; this is a re-establishment. Now let me check the numeric totals (68 burnt, sluice-keeper's goat, killed counts) against timeline.md precisely, and check the healing.md redacted redacted entry and peri.md stitches entry for exact alignment with scenes.

Extraction for scenes 62-72 appended to redacted: private (repo untouched, no writes, no git, no sealed files read).

Counts for 62-72: ~28 established/new facts logged, ~10 implications, 0 hard contradictions (2 soft items flagged for a ruling, not silent merging).

Three most important findings (not contradictions in the strict sense, but the closest things to them):

  1. redacted sentence: unpublished prose
  2. redacted's response-time figures may conflict: institutions.md's general "nine days" policy vs. sc.70's crew arriving one day after the letter was read.
  3. No true numeric/date contradiction found anywhere — nearly every date, hour, and count in scenes 62-72 (delve roster, kill tallies, clearing-week totals, redacted's 16:00 arrival) matches existing canon (cited to deleted old chs. 012-021) exactly, so the main backfill action is promoting those entries from Working to Established and re-citing them to scenes 62-72.
